At the end of the Agterkliphoogte Valley, about 36 kilometers from Robertson in the Western Cape, Mountain View is nestled in a valley surrounded by majestic mountains, expansive views, and an abundance of pristine beauty.
We are bordered by protected nature reserves and very protective of the wildlife in and around the farm.

The origin
The soon to be farm Poesjenels River is proclaimed, bordered on its title deed by "Barren and Wild" Mountains" to the North and "Barren and High" mountains to the South.
1845
Mountain View
The farm Moutain View is separated from the Poesjenels River Form on the 1st of October 1845. In 1906 it subdivides again into its final 508 hectares - most of it untouched and protected nature to this day.
2016
A Blessed Year
On 1 April 2016 the farm is bought by Willem & Marlise Bosman. A great escape from the city and corporate worlds to face the new challenges and rewards of a wine farm.
2016 +
Vineyard Establishment
Since 2016 we added Chenin Blanc to the existing Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc on the farm. We also established Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Merlot to complete the picture.
2024
Licensed
In 2026 we added a license to produce wine at Mountain View. Knowing our vineyards, its terroir and the potential for great wines, this was almost inevitable!
2025
Starting to Grow
We start selling small batches of premier wines! Blessed to be in the position to share the unique terroir and wines from deep in the Agterkliphoogte Valley. Our wines are also available in selected restaurants focusing on premier wines.
2026
Single Vineyard Wines
Since 2026, all our wines will be certified as single vineyard wines from Mountain View. This is the official part of the unofficial practice we always had of selecting only the best grapes from our own vineyards.
